Can Democide be financial in nature?
GPT4: Yes, democide can potentially be financial in nature. While the term “democide” traditionally refers to the murder of people by a government, it can also encompass actions that lead indirectly to death.
For instance, if a government’s policies or actions result in severe economic hardship that leads to increased poverty, malnutrition, lack of access to healthcare, and other conditions that could increase mortality rates, this could be seen as a form of democide. This is especially the case if these actions are taken with the knowledge that they will likely lead to an increase in deaths.

“Political correctness is communist propaganda writ small. In my study of communist societies, I came to the conclusion that the purpose of communist propaganda was not to persuade or convince, not to inform, but to humiliate; and therefore, the less it corresponded to reality the better. When people are forced to remain silent when they are being told the most obvious lies, or even worse when they are forced to repeat the lies themselves, they lose once and for all their sense of probity. To assent to obvious lies is in some small way to become evil oneself. One's standing to resist anything is thus eroded, and even destroyed. A society of emasculated liars is easy to control. I think if you examine political correctness, it has the same effect and is intended to.”

> The internal energies of a mainstream couple, for example, are almost fully directed away from any effective use. They devote their moral strength to whatever terror (real or imagined) is in the news that day, to a sports team, to hating a political party, and so on.
If we focus on the things we want, instead of those we fear, it will be only a short time before we start getting them.

“We should not try to alter circumstances but to adapt ourselves to them as they really are, just as sailors do. They don't try to change the winds or the sea but ensure that they are always ready to adapt themselves to conditions. In a flat calm they use the oars; with a following breeze they hoist full sail; in a head wind they shorten sail or heave to. Adapt yourself to circumstances in the same way."

... Bitcoiners, on the other hand, see suffering as bad luck, and as clear proof that the status quo is a beast: that it must be overridden for the sake of posterity.

What you say is so true, it's like a constant fight against their own insecurities and lack of life meaning, pushing them to the all-knowing authority or credentialized bureaucrats.
When drifting outside of banal conversations with normies, I usually stick to passing nuggets of personal responsibility and critical thinking examples.
What seems to wake them up is:
- I personally don't care if I change their point of view
- It's coming from someone who has "his shit together," in a loving relationship, with well-behaved smart kids and a meaningful job

> Au cœur du libéralisme, il y a cette affirmation fondamentale que le droit n’est pas une création politique mais une institution antérieure à l’État, attachée à notre condition d’être humain et qui s’impose à lui. Nos droits ne sont pas accordés par la loi, selon le bon vouloir des gouvernants. Ils sont naturels et inaliénables.
