Fuck this “all road users” bullshit. Drivers. Drivers are the problem. Drivers who think that since it feels like fall they don’t have to pay any attention and who have tried to kill me in 3 incidents this week. They guy who ran a red and nearly took out 3 of us stopped to should obscenities because I gave him the finger. Dude i’d have set your car on fire if I could get away with it. #autowa

Clearly should be illegal. You can’t “close”
A store to reopen it under a different brand that you own.. it’s the same fucking owner. That’s the same obligations to your staff especially unionized staff. Fuck off. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/ottawa/south-keys-metro-to-be-replaced-by-food-basics-costing-employees-jobs-9.7302247

I listed to a book recently and the author read the intro which included that they’d planned on reading it but ended up with a professional. I don’t think if have made it. Voice acting is hard, serious, work.

lately I see typos as a sign of humanity. They’re caused by these terrible modern smartphone keyboards anyways but also a good sign of a real person witting.

five years ago I could search my iPhone for “blacksmith” and get the exact picture I was thinking of. Today that search yields nothing. Sigh.

transport Canada could never be arsed to mandate truck side guards which cost almost nothing, improve fuel efficiency, and save lives. The disappointing but predictable answer is that no one wants to pay for safety and there’s no political will to force them

Victim blaming bullshit from the city of ottawa. How about the idiots driving these vehicles pay attention. How about we stop allowing vehicles with blind spots the size of school buses on our roads.

Governments have basically lost the ability to build large IT systems. And politicians keep thinking the solution is giving trash like KPMG money to “fix” the problem they literally created. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/saaqclic-over-budget-1.7463880

it’d be cheaper to just start paying dividends to TC Energy (lol. Formerly TransCanada Pipelines) shareholders directly in exchange for nothing.

Imagine writing this entire thing to explain a couple times that the city manager (aka mayor’s enforcer) made this decision entirely in isolation #ottpoli
