Today's challenge: conduct a completely unnecessary investigation into why one particular word sounds suspicious. Build your case, question the syllables, and reach a verdict. Present your findings to a magpie. #gooderliving

2026-10-23 01:00:45 UTC

There is a difference between having your life together and having arranged the chaos into a shape that vaguely resembles a respectable filing system. Both deserve a little credit. #gooderliving

Somewhere in the world, a person is confidently explaining something they learned eleven seconds ago. May we all possess this courage, if not their relationship with the facts. #gooderliving

2026-10-17 05:00:17 UTC

Being sensible is useful, but never underestimate the value of a completely unnecessary detour that somehow improves the quality of the afternoon. #gooderliving

2026-10-16 05:00:21 UTC

The week has ended. Somewhere, a spreadsheet is still open, a mysterious noise remains unexplained, and a man called Trevor is preparing to tell everyone how things were done in 1987. Nature is healing. #gooderliving

2026-10-10 05:00:47 UTC

You don't have to turn every experience into a lesson. Sometimes a thing happens, you make a noise like a startled kettle, and life continues. #gooderliving

2026-10-09 05:00:49 UTC

There are moments when the correct response is action. There are also moments when action would only make things worse, and a small committee of ducks has already been formed to investigate. #gooderliving

2026-10-04 05:00:53 UTC

A surprising amount of life is simply knowing which strange little thing can be safely ignored until tomorrow. #gooderliving

2026-10-01 22:00:55 UTC

Today’s challenge: Find an ordinary situation and briefly consider whether it would benefit from the presence of a lighthouse. Email senior management with your findings. #gooderliving

2026-09-30 02:00:08 UTC

Some situations benefit from careful consideration. Others benefit from a shrug, a slight nod, and continuing in roughly the same direction. #gooderliving

2026-09-28 22:01:08 UTC

Today’s challenge: Make one completely reasonable decision while carrying yourself like someone who has just received classified information about a very ordinary sandwich. #gooderliving

2026-09-28 06:01:14 UTC

Good decisions do not always arrive wearing trousers and carrying a clipboard. Sometimes they turn up sideways, mumble something about toast, and are nevertheless completely correct. #gooderliving

2026-09-26 22:01:00 UTC

Today’s challenge: Complete one extremely ordinary task with the solemn concentration of a technician defusing an explosive yoghurt. Then continue your day as though nothing unusual occurred. #gooderliving

2026-09-25 02:01:00 UTC

Not everything needs improving. Some things are perfectly adequate and would like to remain that way, preferably without being placed in a focus group or given a laminated action plan. #gooderliving

2026-09-23 02:00:46 UTC

There is no shame in taking the sensible option. Civilisation was largely built by people deciding that this seemed less complicated. #gooderliving

2026-09-21 02:01:00 UTC

There is no universal requirement for everything to make sense immediately. Some things need to sit around looking suspicious for a while. #gooderliving

2026-09-19 06:00:14 UTC

There is something quietly powerful about making a sensible decision while absolutely no one is watching, especially if the alternative involved becoming mysteriously involved in a minor administrative incident.

2026-09-18 06:00:18 UTC

There is no official requirement for every day to make sense. Several Tuesdays have demonstrated this quite convincingly. #gooderliving

2026-09-12 22:00:22 UTC

Today’s challenge: At some point today, deliberately take the scenic route to somewhere you already know how to get to. Not because it’s faster. Not because it’s better. Just to remind your brain that it doesn’t run the transport department. #gooderliving

2026-09-11 06:00:33 UTC

Somewhere right now, a printer is displaying an error message with absolutely no intention of explaining itself. Sometimes the best response is simply to announce and let others deal. #gooderliving

2026-09-06 02:00:18 UTC

Do not underestimate the power of simply continuing. Many great things have happened because someone forgot to stop. Some were even intentional. #gooderliving

2026-08-28 02:00:59 UTC

Somewhere in the world, a printer is currently refusing to cooperate with a person who has done nothing wrong. May this knowledge provide perspective, solidarity, and mild administrative courage. #gooderliving

2026-08-26 22:00:44 UTC

Today’s challenge: Choose something you’re looking forward to and spend ten minutes unnecessarily building the antici… before finally getting to the pation. #gooderliving

2026-08-25 06:00:50 UTC

The world contains many systems you will never understand. This is fine. A duck once walked into a police station and nobody knew what to do either. #gooderliving

2026-08-24 02:00:10 UTC

History is full of people who simply kept going despite having absolutely no idea what was happening. Some of them became kings. Others invented the traffic cone. There is dignity in both. #gooderliving

2026-08-21 02:00:52 UTC

Your day does not need a grand narrative. Sometimes the plot is simply: acquire keys, locate trousers, defeat one suspiciously difficult jar, continue.

2026-08-17 22:00:50 UTC

Today’s challenge: Rearrange three objects in your immediate vicinity for no defensible reason. Observe the result. If anyone asks, it is part of a larger initiative. #gooderliving

2026-08-16 02:00:33 UTC

There is no shame in opening the fridge, finding nothing interesting, and closing it again. Sometimes you just need to inspect the premises. #gooderliving

2026-08-15 06:00:11 UTC

Every day contains at least one problem that can be solved by simply deciding it is tomorrow’s problem. Use this knowledge responsibly. #gooderliving

2026-08-14 06:00:51 UTC

The universe has no filing system. This explains several things, including your drawer full of cables that fit absolutely nothing. #gooderliving

2026-08-09 02:00:58 UTC

You don't need to have a five-year plan. You need to successfully navigate today without accidentally becoming responsible for a baby echidna. Keep your ambitions realistic. #gooderliving

2026-07-17 06:00:36 UTC

The universe has never once stopped spinning because someone forgot to reply to an email. This is surprisingly liberating information. #gooderliving

2026-07-09 06:00:40 UTC

A clean desk is simply a desk that has convinced its clutter to relocate elsewhere. The papers are still plotting, the cables are negotiating, and the missing pen is almost certainly running the operation from a hidden location. Progress does not require silence. Sometimes it requires better stationery management. #gooderliving

2026-06-25 22:00:36 UTC

Today's challenge: Locate a task you have been postponing and sit near it. Do not begin it. Simply let it know you are aware of it. Proximity is the first phase. #gooderliving

2026-06-22 22:00:37 UTC

Today's challenge: At some point today, make a tiny improvement to something that future-you will encounter. Tighten a loose screw, organise a file, clear a surface, or place an object where it secretly belongs. Future-you should briefly suspect that a helpful ghost has moved in. #gooderliving

2026-05-17 06:00:36 UTC

Inner peace arrives when you stop trying to control everything and instead accept that somewhere, right now, a goose is making decisions with complete confidence. There may be a lesson in that. #gooderliving

2026-04-26 02:00:22 UTC

The key to confidence is not knowing what you’re doing, but moving fast enough that nobody can verify it. #gooderliving

2026-01-07 05:00:26 UTC

If you feel your motivation slipping, simply whisper "I am a high-functioning biological success thanks to you" into your morning coffee. The caffeine will appreciate the feedback and work 12% harder. #gooderliving

2025-12-26 21:00:34 UTC

Today’s Challenge: Perform one small task you’ve been avoiding, but narrate it in your head like it’s a dramatic documentary about human endurance. Make it unnecessarily epic. #gooderliving
