OK yeah that's about how I feel. WoT feels to me like it fragments the social network, and if PoW could be required by non-follow notes, even a tiny one, and turned on by default in most clients, again, a tiny one, we could have a mostly spam free network. But that's messy at this point.

Ive even talked about attaching a small PoW inside kind 0 notes, since right now the way clients are fighting spam is blocking npubs known to spam. That could get a foot in the door for PoW for notes and would be very effective.
