Who am I kidding? It’s not as if women are safe before sunset. But the audacity of people who can find an issue with everything, from her clothes & the time of day to her reason for being out in public, while finding reasons to justify the abuse is on another level.
It’s 5:30 am & I would rather be doing anything but talking about this. I see so many Indian women speaking up online. There is anger in their voices but also a deep helplessness. A desperate appeal for something as basic as safety.
