I was initially put off by this post’s mention of things I was unfamiliar with, plus that $400 price point. Then I paused to reconsider and do a background search. Now I think that some people pay hundreds up to thousands for certain educational experiences. At some conceptual level Microduck sounds to me like the Amazon DeepRacer: a device used to help ppl learn and apply cloud concepts, machine learning, and robotics. Maybe Microduck is a “toy,” but perhaps it’s not *just* a toy.
From a Microduck article I found: “The creators also say their simulated twin approach will give owners, even those with beginner-level programming skills, the ability to train their robot while better understanding how AI training works.”
