Its been like 7 weeks of school and Alex is still reading Catcher in the Rye at school. This is the first book for the class. They are about halfway through. The teacher reads the book to the kids in class. Alex believes this is because a significant fraction of 10th graders can't read at the required level to read the book themselves in a reasonable time period.
At this pace maybe 12 or 14 weeks to read the one book... I'm pretty sure Alex finished it in about 2. What does this say about us?
