Yeah I thought something similar..
It's a race/war for both US/EU and China to take African resources but I noticed a slightly different action plan.
I have read that China likes to invest and construct infrastructure making the African state borrow in order to do it, and later when they can't pay the debt back they just take back the infrastructure and land it's built on.. is that really a thing and often used?
