About:
Bitcoin Aves is a Bitcoin-only grassroots initiative in the farming town of Akatsi, working to turn sound money into something people can actually learn, earn, spend, and live with. The project aims to empower African Youths and build a circular economy in Akatsi, Ghana.
Key Objectives:
1. Educate communities on Bitcoin and financial sovereignty through culturally relevant teaching, local-language outreach, workshops, and structured programs.
2. Drive practical everyday adoption by onboarding shops, farmers, and market traders to accept sats and use Bitcoin for real goods and services.
3. Build a sustainable local circular economy where value can be produced, paid, and spent in Bitcoin, including merchant networks, agricultural trade, and community projects.
4. Help individuals understand money, protect their savings from inflation, and take control of their own finances without relying on distant or exclusionary systems.
5. Grow a grassroots Bitcoin community from Akatsi outward by training youth and teachers, hosting meetups, and planting the skills for Bitcoin education to spread across Ghana.
