My wife and I went to the dentist for the first time in years the other day. She has a DMO plan and apparently a requirement for that plan is pre-selecting your doctor with them and then coverage will start a month or two after your selection. We didn't know that and show up for the dentist and complete the full procedures and that night I'm looking into if they'd cover some of the referred procedures to find out that we now owed the full amount from the visit all because of not marking a box on a website. Insurance is a scam.
