I agree with the direction you are pointing, so my point of disagreement is with the expression of “totally voluntary society”
non-voluntary relations are inherent to the human condition.
so the idea of scrubbing them out of our humanity invalidates the anthropology.
mediating those necessary non-voluntary relations and overcoming the asymmetrical power dynamics has and always will be the task of civilization.
and i think a main contributor of humanity continually overshooting in both directions is becuase we frame the objective/goal in fantastical/ideal terms that simply aren’t real.
