I've been using moonlight + apollo exclusively for gaming and it's been working really well as long as I don't try to place csgo. Total rtl has been under 30ms max, I think the average has been 9ms lately. I have to do more research on it though. I've done almost no optimization on any level.
There is a high performance build of moonlight for streaming devices and smart tvs so long as you have at least 100mb connection I think it would be a good experience unless your really competitive.
