I was watching a digital rendition of a classic film (Kakushi toride no san akunin, Kurosawa), and went balistically p!ssed off.

The one thing that _should_ be quite simple to do is to get frame-to-frame registration right. You really shouldn't see frame jitter in a digital rendition.

And it was bouncing all over the place.

(I burned a hole in a print of Yojimbo trying to slow it down enough to see the final sworfight using an actual film projector once. Oops.)
