Saying that economists are in the category of business is like saying that biologists are plants.
Studying plants does not make you a plant. Or a cell, or whatever. Studying the behavior of businesses does not make you a business.
Its just crazy that econ usually isn't considered a STEM field. Its more STEM than most STEM... I recently shocked a PhD microbiologist when I told her how far we go into statistics. She gave me a spiel about how much stats you need for bio - that shits done, like done 2x, at least.
