Doesnt take as much, if couch would be shorter it would fit. On other side its also not a problem for me as it mostly stay open. Just keep in mind mostly that clear opening part, people often dont think about that and later are angry if they learn about other solutions (that's my experience with customers as I am loud mouth and I often comment XD).
