i used to do quant trading based on social signals, and after years of trying to form the perfect algo i realized inverting the losers is a much stronger signal. a dumb person can't act smart, but a lot of smart people act in dumb ways frequently =)
it is still good to do comps. maybe you can do the reverse of what they did?
