I think it’s the specific model of MacBook that I have, which has problems with almost everything. The Touch Bar is particularly annoying, since if it doesn’t work, there’s no escape key. Its host name on my network is “lemon”, because it really is one: it had a swollen battery one month after the warranty expired, and seven months after the warranty expired, the display board stopped working which needed the entire screen and keyboard replacing. (Thankfully, Apple replaced both for me free of charge, after I darkly mentioned something about Australian consumer law).
