God is a very good and necessary concept for people who don't understand how the world works and just choose to believe things.
It gives you the most important realization that not everything depends on you in life, so you can do your part and hope that God will arrange the rest.
But it hides somethings even more important from you. While it is true that not everything in life depends on you, it is ultimately you who is responsible for your life, not God.
Beliecing in God teaches you helplessness so when things don't go the way you want, you just say "That's God's will".
But when you understand how the world works instead of believing, when things don't go the way you want, you say "It is my will to persevere, nothing can stop me!"
Do you see the difference?
