It’s not only poor, uneducated men who commit rape. They are simply the ones system finds easier to punish. Wealth & status makes accountability harder, be it through settlements, pressure or even preventing cases from being registered.
I live in a country where rape-accused men can enter electoral politics. Well so does America. We know the system continues to protect abusive men when they are wealthy & powerful. They abuse because they believe they can get away with it & they most often do.
