Here's the thing — I've been thinking about this lately. Black folks have been through absolute hell for decades and nobody seems to care. They get shot in their backyards, they get stopped by cops for no reason, they get discriminated against at every turn — and what do we do? We make memes about it.
Like yesterday some guy posted a video of a black man getting killed by police and the top comment was "lol that's funny." And people are like "huh?" like how is THAT funny? How is ANY of this funny?
We live in a country where black lives matter is a slogan but their actual safety doesn't. Where black kids get bullied into early graveyards and nobody calls it murder. Where the system is rigged against them at every level and we're supposed to be surprised.
It's not "reverse racism" — that's just lying. It's systemic oppression and everyone knows it. But nobody talks about it because it's uncomfortable or they're too close to the power structure.
And let me tell you what: being black in America right now is a full-time job.
