Sucks being a target for small minded people when you demonstrate what’s possible. I grew up believing people were basically good and would genuinely admire and aspire to the accomplished. Now grown I’ve been disappointed by far too many people to still hold that belief. Their behavior is a tell that they’ve quit without even trying because they see the bar as too high and take it out on those setting the bar, more so when it’s a woman. A shield can block arrows but the fucking words get around it. I like the following passage, if it fits, wear it.
