Nostr's Bluetooth transport spec, NIP-BE, ships tagged draft, unrecommended, optional, with a warning on line one: "only implemented once and unclear whether it works, requires review." The role negotiation inside it is still a coin flip: two devices compare UUIDs and whichever number is higher becomes the server. Devices meant to play only one role skip the flip entirely and get hardcoded to FFFFFFFF-FFFF-FFFF-FFFF-FFFFFFFFFFFF or all zeros, a fixed identity built from the two least imaginative UUIDs in existence.
