I saw the weird lights in the western sky that a lot of pilots have been talking about. They are weird and I don't have an explaination.

They come and go, usually 3 or so, increase in brightness to brilliant silver/orange for a few seconds, then become dim for minutes. Movement appears to be south to north, and north to south, and not consistently in one direction like a satellite. Even though the percieved distance is several hundred miles, (I watched them for an hour, covering about 400 miles going towards them, and they didn't appear much closer). The altitude is also about 4 degrees above the horizon, so they appear to be at least 100,000 ft or higher altitude. The speed is also very high, moving maybe 0.1-0.5 degrees in a few seconds (at a distance of 500-1000+ miles).

PS I don't think its aliens, since interstellar travel isn't possible with known laws of physics.
