It was written by Catholic scribes at the dictation of Muhammad (an agent of the Vatican, unwittingly due to his uneducated and illiterate nature) to distract the Arabs from Messiah Yeshua.
His wife and her cousin were both Catholic nuns as well, making the case even more obvious.
Ashkenazim being protected from the Byazntium persecution was not how the Qur'an was written. In fact, the Qur'an was released in fragments in 637 AD, the first year of Islam's existence. It would, however, be fully released by around 650 AD to fool Arabs into revering and obeying the Pope.
