Victorian Labor government said if they get re-elected they will make a new state law that if your ex partner commits suicide after a breakup you will be charged with manslaughter for causing their emotional distress.
It also applies to family members when someone commits suicide.
Essentially if anyone commits suicide police will be looking for someone to imprison for causing the emotional distress because suicide is illegal.
