horses are the usual culprits for needing some grooming assistance down there since they are anatomical wierdos. Most horse owners can clean out "the beans" without getting a vet involved. Mice have evolved into little reproductive machines. The males have extra accessory sex glands that generate a glue like substance after ejaculation that blocks the vaginal opening of the female to prevent her from being bred by another male. It eventually hardens and falls out. If a male is living in a bachelor group or has an injury, inflammation, or scar tissue in that area, the plug can get stuck in the prepuce and eventually builds up. I'm surprised I don't see it more often. Most mice keep themselves pretty clean on their own. Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
