Leadership is absolutely not about balancing people's desires to maximize contentment. Certainly no one would want that job. 😂

Impose your will on the world. Be strong enough to do it. Do it joyfully, not hatefully. People will love you for it.

You should be suspicious of people who want to be in a position of leadership. Leadership should happen naturally as a result of group nomination and reluctant acceptance.

There are many people who believe being in charge is about exerting your will on others. When in reality leadership is a burden of carrying and balancing everyone else’s desires in an effort to make everyone under your stewardship content. If you ever meet a person pining for power thinking he or she should be in charge, that person will be actively harmful in any leadership role you or the group may be dumb enough to put them in.

Good leaders are competent and capable and they are selected on that basis. Not because they want to be chief bossy person in charge. That’s just some petty tyrant. Know the difference.
