I have to apologise and take back my “bad” cake wallet and swap experience comments.
Technical support in the Cake wallet app was able to guide me to access my “lost” funds back from August.
Turns out I had to manually switch to a good/green signal node first and then wait for the wallet to update by not closing it, leaving it running and being patient. Then all was good.
Nothing similar like I experienced so far with BTC tech.
This was too techy for the average person IMO. I had almost thrown the towel on that myself.
Now that I saw it working and now that I see most nations and exchanges trying to ban XMR, it just gets more interesting each day.
BTC is still King, but it’s traceability and KYC BS you have to go through, and the price manipulations by wallstreet games, leave a bad taste beside it performing like clockwork
