#Meshtastic firmware 2.8 defaults to long turbo in the U.S., which is 500KHZ and fixes this issue.

#MeshCore is discussing a new default.

So far

freq 910.100, 909.800, 909.500 are proposed
BW 500
SF 11
CR 8

I went with 910.100 for now, but am more in favor of 909.500 since its nearly 1MHz lower than the current default and we might as well get every centimeter from the transmitter possible.

It sounds like the MINIMUM bandwidth may be 500khz. MeshCore uses 62.5 as default and Meshtastic uses 250 as its default.

If the bandwidth must be raised in order to comply with the law, then the mesh will not go as far, because wider bandwidth equals more noise from the universe, which means lower signal range.
