The entire idea of modern marriage is a sham. Both parties sign a legally binding contract with a 1000 legal previsions that neither party even understands fully, created by the state. It’s so colossally retarded and I can’t fathom why so many do this. Mindlessly of course.
One pattern I’ve seen in marriages is the woman demands to be the leader and also she retains sole power over sex. The male is made a beta in the marriage and becomes beholden to whatever the woman decides.
It is an unnatural and demoralizing dynamic and hollows out the confidence and spirit of the man, who feels trapped in this situation. And in many regards the state signed marriage contract does favor the woman (especially if the man has been the bread winner) so that only adds to despair and unwillingness to end things.
It’s rare to see a solid 50/50 marriage partnership in my experience and I think that’s what it takes to have a fulfilling marriage.
