If you got a single sunburn before you were 18 (or ever used a tanning bed), your likelihood of developing skin cancer (including melanoma) doubles. If you did it more than once, or had blisters, those numbers get worse fast.
So run a memory check and when you see a dermatologist, let them know.

*Pale ass skin and grew up before sunscreen... I've had skin cancers every year since I turned 30 (so far no melanomas 🎉).
Also a ~5mm (1/4") spot can turn into a ~30mm (1.5") cut and then scar...the earlier it's caught, the better!
