I’m playing with both options also. I just setup my first actual multi-sig and wasn’t so hard. You can do cool things like 2of3 and one is a Sparrow hot key. Or 3of4 with a Sparrow hot key and still requiring 2 HW wallets.
Also playing with which keys should I use for true multi-sig:
