funfact .. the US Govt has not passed a budget since 1997
That's coming on 30 years now .. an entire generation of American's that have never seen their government get financial basics in place .. all just temporary funding measures ("continuing resolutions") .. and can-kicking
.. and now they can't even put those in place
Imagine putting these "incentives" in place:
- politicians and their staff didn't get paid until operational again, AND
- during shutdown, total media ban on all political interviews (GASP!)
