I am not saying that there is anything inherently wrong with giving to those in need. The problem arises when you have to sin to do so, which is what socialists have to do every single time through taxation.
Respect private property is the same as loving your neighbor by respecting their boundaries, hence why the Ten Commandments condemn actions such as murder, theft, and coveting.
The parts of the Bible I'm using specifically is Romans 6, but especially verses 14-16. You can't worship sin and G-d at the same time.
