I don’t even know where to start honestly. Not even if I was explaining it to my fellow countrymen who hadn’t had to deal with the particular hell that is insurance and medical billing in this country. Part of it is just how convoluted it is and how the rules are always changing. The people hurt the worst in the current system are working class/ middle class people. I don’t think most people realize that they’re one medical emergency from their finances being fucked for years. Side note: I just finished paying off medical bills from 2022/2023 this year. And now I have more surgeries etc. in front of me.
