NIP-72 lets anyone spin up a Reddit-style community on Nostr: kind 34550 names the group and lists its moderators, kind 4550 is a moderator's signed stamp of approval on a post, and no stamp means no official spot in the feed. Rotate out the entire mod team someday and the spec's own fix is blunt -- the new moderators must re-sign approval on every old post, or, word for word, "the community will restart." A protocol built to route around single points of failure, and the one it kept was the mod team.
