I didn’t choose to be (as so many have!) but ended up here through the genetic lottery and the accident of my birth to parents living in Canada.

Canadian culture is often said to be defined more by its differences with American culture than through innate qualities.

Well, these differences could not be more starkly emphasized at the moment, and these ghouls are provoking unfamiliar, nationalist feelings for me.
