plebeian is a slur... its the masses. the mass. the heavy. the deadweight. the thing that drags everything down. its tendency is down. the term comes from the roman masses who co-opted and destroyed the entire experiment. they are today's communists and populists and average Joe - or I guess José in your world.
I will use it as it was understood by the ancients - not by some modern plebeian who thinks he is taking the moral high ground by trying to accomplish the impossible.
