Great questions, I've been thinking about them a lot as well.
The "heart of it" will be dependent on data centers and 5g and 6g towers (coming around 2030- will have radar like ability to detect people, drones and vehicles without cameras...supposedly). Yet another reason to not live in a city where the brunt of the control grid will be focused. Rural areas will be less and less "invested in" but living at the end of a rough gravel road will be a flex if these things come to pass.
Back to the data centers- they will hit the limits of the physical world and energy constraints pretty quickly. Wang from Nvidia just said we will need 1000x energy production to be able to satisfy the demand for compute. The US would be lucky if they could double electricity generation in the next 10 years. Plus they all keep talking about using stranded natural gas but estimates have the proven reserves drying up after about 12 years of consumption at our current rates.
Invest in your local community as best you can, stack sats, metals (both precious and deadly types), and continually opt out of their systems for more locally based ones.
Also the spiritual aspect of all of this is often overlooked. I tend to believe our souls chose to incarnate during this time to rise to the occasion and not be little bitches. Romans chapter 8 mighb be worth a peruse- especially verse 31
