I had the same feeling as you. No clue, what's driving the people here and whether I really belonged here. But I can abstract the nostr protocol from the people using it, like I do with people swarming this planet, from the few ones not acting like drones.

Here on nostr you find "state hater" paired with the "bitcoin believer", "trash talker" and the one who is "totally confused, but I can use a keyboard and I like you to talk about meat and how healthy it is." Then again you find the average poster who found out, that being one-eyed amongst blinds is enough to be socially accepted. And then there are some truly gifted I guess, who probably think, why do I even try to promote this protocol, ah - yes, because it's a protocol, that enables future possibilities.

And then they build armada.buzz/discover , a pretty impressive discord alternative right in time, when the walls everywhere else close in and when I was about thinking to leave the platform again.
