For no apparent reason I just remembered the time I was in the same room as Brian May from Queen. It was at a small exhibition in a club in Soho in 2019. The exhibition was of 3D photographs from the 1860's that he collected, a series called the Diableries. Really cool things. Below is a link to examples of them. They are printed twice side by side and viewed through glasses to present in 3D.
The room was quite busy and Brian swept in causing quite a stir, he was politely mobbed by fans. It was quite surreal, he was flamboyantly dressed, rather tall with his signature big hair, he seemed like a real life Wizard. No security, just Brian bloody May stood 6 feet from me. He was in his element, clearly very passionate about the photos and just beaming with happiness. It didn't seem real but it was lovely.
