Just want to say this for anyone else who needs to hear it—because I know I do sometimes.
Full-time parenting is really bloody hard work.
It’s invisible work. Necessary work.
Chaotic work. Important work.
Mentally draining work. Incredibly rewarding work—sometimes.
It doesn’t always feel meaningful in the moment. It doesn’t come with digestible feedback or recognition. But it really matters. Showing up for your children makes a difference.
It’s not forever.
Relish the good and the bad. It’s all part of the journey.
I feel like this perhaps should be a given, but it needs to be said out loud more often. We have forgotten the importance of parenting.
