That brings an interesting thought to my head. The whole "opaque ledger means hidden inflation bug" argument against XMR is actually a false sense of security, and in a way better for xmr than something transparent. Think about it, if you've got a transparent ledger and you say "nobody has exploited it yet so there's no bug" nobody looks for those bugs until they become exploited, whereas if you wouldnt be able to see if one were exploited as on an opaque ledger, then people are constantly trying to verify that one does not exist, so youre less likely to have one exploited
