It was less invasive, last time they had go in deep into the wrist, find the rip in my joint, and seal it shut and remove the cyst and all that. This time they just opened me up, looked for a cyst but found a huge lump of scar tissue. Removed the scarring and did a tendon release. So it should be smooth sailing!! My wrist this morning, bruising setting in. As much as it hurts this morning, my ankle/leg actually feels about the same. So maybe my baseline pain tolerance has gone up since I had the bad leg injury in February. Regardless I'm happy with how surgery went and looking forward to physical therapy and learning how to use braces so I can start gaining muscles and reduce risk of future injuries. I know that I'm not just "unlucky" or "clumsy" (I mean I am clumsy) but I now know my frequent injuries are due to a genetic condition (and not just being a woman).
After I had last baby my wrist became severely painful and doing things like holding him was a challenge and started me down the road to get things fixed. The emotional pain of not wanting to hold my baby because the physical pain was too much.. took its toll. Now I should be able to hold last baby easy peasy 🙏 ❤️
