My suggestion is to point out that there is a huge resource imbalance between what's spent on finding vulnerabilities and fixing vulnerabilities. The LLM boost to finding vulnerabilities have made this much worse with even more money (some direct, but most subsidized by the LLM providers) thrown at the finding vulnerabilities part.
How to fix things? As someone who works in public IT infrastructure, getting a funding stream for hiring developers to work on our FOSS deps would be great.
