Yeah to be honest the drivers were an issue when I last installed years ago. Again I found mint the best for these issues and sometimes an update fixed things but not always.
Macs can be similar either works flawless or doesn't at all especially annoying when you fork out a fortune for a new one and you find you have to by a new printers etc aswell
