Every single person reading this has the same diagnosis. Rich or broke, believer or skeptic, maxi or fiat goblin. We're all terminal. Death isn't some event waiting at the end of the road for us. It's already in us, working quietly, and every morning we wake up a little closer to it.

Most of life is spent treating symptoms. Better diet, better habits, better portfolio. Some of that is good and worth doing. But none of it touches the root, and deep down we know it. The ugly stuff we do to each other is just the rot showing through the surface.

Our instinct says what you see is what you get. And what we see is hospital rooms, funerals, and a body that complains a little louder every year. So we shrug and assume God, if He's out there at all, is too far off to matter.

But God, being rich in mercy, came close. Think about the power line running past your house. Grab it raw and it kills you. The current has to be stepped down before it can come inside and keep your lights on. God did the same thing with Himself. He stepped all the way down into a newborn lying in a feed trough. The infinite God in diapers. Life itself walked into a dying world so it could take on death from the inside and beat it.

And He still comes to us that way, hidden in plain things. Water. Bread and wine. A Word spoken out loud. Ordinary enough that it won't burn us up, close enough to actually reach us.

We all share the disease. Turns out there's a cure, and He has a name. If you're tired of managing symptoms, He's worth a real look.
