If someone is violating your rights as a self-owner, you have no obligation to allow it. Since you possess the right to self defense, others can aid in your defense because you still have the *right* to not be aggressed against.
If others choose to step in to assist you in protecting your rights, they don’t possess any special rights that you yourself don’t have.
No one is ruling anyone… you simply are protecting self-ownership rights should you choose to aid another in defense.
