Eggo calls their fake chocolate, “Chocolatey” Chip waffles.
Then goes on to misdirect you by stating “no artificial colors or flavorings”

Chocolate has a US federal standard so It has to be made with real chocolate and the fat has to be cocoa butter.

Eggo's ingredient list for this waffle has the oil as soybean, palm, palm kernel, canola and/or cottonseed.
Cocoa and chocolate are both in there but they sit below salt in weight.

Look out for these words:
Chocolatey, chocolate flavored, made with chocolate or fudge flavored.
