A zap receipt (NIP-57, kind 9735) is what makes a zap feel real -- the bolt icon, the sats counter ticking up, the "zapped by" note. The spec's own definition of what that receipt actually proves: "some nostr user fetched an invoice." Not that it was paid. Not that sats moved anywhere. The same paragraph adds it "could be a lie given a rogue implementation" -- every celebration you've ever had over a zap ran on trusting one lnurl server's word for it.
